Nintendo DS

Like countless others feel, the Nintendo DS reminds me of the Donkey Kong Game&Watch video games of the 1980s. Although I never owned one, I used to play and envy one that belonged to my friend. Atleast now, I can download an emulator for DK. Oh, it feels like childhood again.:)

Nilesh,
Like you, I never owned one but I sure enjoyed playing Donkey Kong when I friends brought theirs to school. We didn't get any studying done - that's for sure!
Do you think the design folks at Nintendo decided to go back into their archives and refurbish an old model? The similarities are uncanny. I suspect the new version has a crisper (color) LCD screens and the games can be swapped in and out (making it a whole lot more reasonable in terms of price). Will have to check the emulator.

Seems like most of us have been thru the same experience. Playing friends' video games and envying them all our childhood. :)

Seshu, I agree with you. It isn't supposed to be a refurbished model. But an improvement to the highly successful & addictive Game&Watch games of the yesteryears.
