Type Ahead
If you are using Mozilla or Pheonix and if you aren't using the Type Ahead Find feature, you are missing a whole experience, surfing the web without a mouse. I have started liking it after some discomfort moving away from the mouse. Here's how to do it -
You are reading a webpage and you want to go to a link marked Slashdot on the page. Just type the first few characters s-l-a and the link gets highlighted. Press the Enter key and there you go. If there are more than one links beginning with s-l-a, press Ctrl-G or Cmd-G to cycle between them. To cycle between all links, use the tab key. See so simple and fast. Faster than moving the damn mouse over the link and clicking it. ;-) its more accurate when you are half asleep and you still want to surf the net. It saves you the trouble of discovering that the webpage you were reading wasn't exactly the page you wanted to read. ;-). More about accessibility at the Mozilla Accessibility Project Page.
